Home Inspiration
In the midst of wanting to redo my bedroom and living room... This summer's projects for myself (and my boyfriend hehe) I am thinking about an all white bohemian inspired bedroom with hints of color and some plants. Check out my inspiration board for the house aka La Casa on my Pinterest here.

Support Local:: Casitas Valley Creamery
Purchasing local goods is one thing each of us can do to help support our communities and the environment . I always feel gratified when I know exactly where my product was produced and who put their sweat and tears into making it. It is a feeling that cannot be compared to much! That is the case with my friends over at Casitas Valley Creamery and Regenerative Earth Farms out of Carpinteria, California. My friend Jesse Smith, who I have known since Santa Barbara High School, and his beautiful fiancé Ana Brush have been on a roll with their business endeavors and this is the first of many to come from their local & environmentally sustainable project at Regenerative Earth Farms. I had the pleasure to pick up some cheese from their very first batch at Isabella's Gourmet Foods in La Arcada on Figueroa Street (where more is still available to purchase). I am a total foodie so cheese is right up my ally, as I am sure it is for you, and they hit it the nail on the target with their flavors, textures, and pairings. I was happy to walk away with some organic cheese and a smile on face. So happy when my friends are doing rad projects! Congrats to both of you, this was a day to celebrate!
Make sure to check them out on FB for updates on their next tasting and how you can order some cheese :)

Megan Part 1
This year I have had all sorts of creative challenges but perhaps my biggest adventure was learning how to use my Canon Rebel SLR in my photography class. As the academic year is winding down, my photos are starting to become more refined into a particular style of photographic interest and post processing that compliments how I see the world. Getting the technicalities out of the way, I can now do more of what I want- meaning that I can mimic what I am seeing in my head and through my eyes via the lens of the camera and computer screen.
This is my friend Megan, you can visit her at the Juice Ranch on Parker Way in SB. She is one of my only friends that is Vegan that actually makes me consider the thought of cutting out animal products! SToked to have such beautiful and sweet friends like her in my life.

Santa Barbara Grinds:: La Supa Rica
One of my favorite things to do on Mischief is to share tidbits of Santa Barbara lifestyle and culture. I am a die hard foodie and I enjoy tasting all the local restaurants here in town and giving my 2 cents on them so when it comes to Mexican food, La Supa Rica is no exception. My cousins Martin and Isidoro own and run La Supa Rica so I have grown up eating this amazing food my whole life, I have it about once a week if my tummy can handle and I mean that with all honesty. I go through phases of eating certain dishes but I always have whatever the daily special is, The Queso De Casquela, and a Vegetarian Tamale .Yesterday's special was Chile Relleno and Chilaquiles and man o man did it hit the spot. Still recovering.... I hope you get the chance to eat there as I highly recommend it!

First Thursday Art
The First Thursday of every month is always one to be celebrated in Santa Barbara because we have our monthly art walk. This past week, I made it over to check out my friend Sean Anderson's New Works at The Big Idea above Pink Berry on State and Chadillac Green's Assisted Living at DNA (interview with Chadillac here). As usual, I left the evening feeling inspired from all the talent. Thanks to all the homies that were out and about, love seeing all of you.

New Works by Adam Mars
My dear friend Adam Mars in one clever dude. He is defiantly hands down one of my favorite and coolest friends out there. He recently had a show in Los Angles at Gusford Gallery and here are a couple of his paintings that were on display from his show Public Privates . Great conversation starters if you ask me.
This one is made from cupcake sprinkles.... SO COOL! This is Adam's latest

Arbor Girls :: Get Out There
Skateboarding and bikinis are two of my absolute favorite things, and I sincerely mean that from the bottom of my heart, I don't care how cheesy it sounds because it's my truth. So when I was approached by Arbor Skateboards Santa Barbara to model some of their new bikinis from Arbor Girls I was beyond excited! Considering it is almost Summer and the weather has been perfect, I didn't even blink when the opportunity hit me. Have you ever tried on any of the clothes from Arbor? They are so incredibly soft because they mostly use organic cottons/ bamboo and they produce them in sustainable ways- all in the USA. Read about their Eco Story here, it is why I love the brand so much! The suits are only available at Arbor Venice and Arbor Santa Barbara so I suggest going down to the local shop at 14 W. Anapamu to check out the goods.
Hope you enjoy the pictures from the shoot, it was sooo much fun!

Santa Barbara Earth Day 2013
Earth Day in Santa Barbara is one of the most celebrated days in our city. I think SB owes it to the fact that Earth Day was founded in Santa Barbara in 1970 after an oil spill off the California Coast. The festivities at Alameda Park almost top that of our annual Summer Solstice celebration, I know how dare I say that, but I truly believe that Earth Day is getting bigger each year and there is just so much great information, environment awareness , yummy food stands, and great people who care about living healthy and our beautiful Mother Earth! I love all the booths, sponsors, and electrical cars on display at Earth Day, so much info and fun to absorb. We truly were blessed this year with amazing weather. It was another one for the books and I would imagine that next year will be even better and bigger, I can't wait!
Thank you again for checking out my blog

A Day in Beverly Hills with Ashley
My journey in photography has been coming along and I must admit I have having so much fun with it. I had the privilege a couple of weeks ago to photo assist my girlfriend Rachel Moyer on one of her shoots and I was able to snap some photos of my own to practice. We had a beautiful penthouse at the Thompson in Beverly Hills that made for the perfect romantic setting. Stay tuned for more fun projects and my ever evolving photography.
Studio Sessions with Rachel:: Part 1
On Friday I had the pleasure of working in the photography studio at City College for my first time and I am quite pleased with how the photos turned out. I have an assignment due on Tuesday for class and I chose my girlfriend and one of my best friends Rachel to be my model. Rachel and I work together on a number of photo shoots and our creative energy together is simply amazing! I love working with Rachel and it was great to have her behind the lens for once!
