Musing: Brody Dalle
Have you ever heard of Brody Dalle? Wait lets back up, have you ever heard Brody Dalle scream??
I am going to have to give it to her- she has the best vocal chords for a female screamer I have ever heard. Maybe you listen to punk rock music, maybe you don't, but I am here to share with you my latest inspiration... Brody Dalle.
Brody's new band, Spinnerette is amazing! I can't stop listening to the CD (thanks Adam Mars and Mike Taylor) thus here I am blogging about it. Check out this track...
Brody's other band, The Distillers is also rad. She screams a little more in this one.
This song is sooo goood.
There is just something about this picture.
Brody singing with ex-husband Tim Armstrong, the lead singer of Rancid
Brody with husband Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures and Eagles of Death Metal band member)

History
From CBS.com
Miss Middleton chose British brand Alexander McQueen for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction of clothing," the palace said. " Miss Middleton wished for her dress to combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterizes Alexander McQueen's work. Miss Middleton worked closely with Sarah Burton in formulating the design of her dress."
The dress is made of French Chantilly lace and English Cluny lace throughout the bodice, skirt and underskirt. The dress, made of ivory and white satin gazar, was designed to emulate an opening flower. The train measures almost nine feet long. The lace applique for the bodice and skirt was hand-made by the Royal School of Needlework. Individual flowers were hand-cut from lace and hand-engineered onto ivory silk tulle to create the dress' design, which incorporates the rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock. The back of the dress was finished with 58 gazar and organza covered buttons fastened by Rouleau loops.
"It has been the experience of a lifetime to work with Catherine Middleton to create her wedding dress, and I have enjoyed every moment of it," Burton said in a statement. "It was such an incredible honour to be asked, and I am so proud of what we and the Alexander McQueen team have created. I am delighted that the dress represents the best of British craftsmanship."
Middleton's veil is made silk tulle with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers. It is held in place by a Cartier "halo" tiara, lent to Middleton by Queen Elizabeth II. The tiara was presented to Princess Elizabeth (now the Queen) by her mother on her 18th birthday.
The bride's earrings, diamond-set stylized oak leaves with a pear-shaped diamond set drop and a pave set diamond acorn suspended from the center, are by Robinson Pelham and were inspired by the Middleton family's new coat of arms. The earrings, which were made to match the tiara, were a personal gift to Middleton from her parents for her wedding day.
Her handmade shoes, also by McQueen, were composed of ivory duchesse satin and lace.
Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All
What have you been listening to lately? Coachella seems like the right time of year to update my music library, even though I didn't go, it's just that time of the year to get some new jams.
I like to listen to lots of different music, but hip-hop will always take up a permanet slot on my playlist. I can't help but take notice of LA's Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. They have been blowing up on the net for a couple years now... They make all their own beats. They make all their own art. They are talented. And I dig their "I don't give a fuck" attitude. It's raw. And it's funny!
Here are some vids if you are interested.

I love doing these kind of photo shoots, especially now that it is Spring time... Holler at me if you want to collaborate on a shoot :) The flowers are starting to look really pretty here in California.
Thank you again to my photographer and bestie Rachel Moyer, you are truly fabulous girlie, and my sweet and talented friend Catherine Clark for collaborating on this project with me and making me feel 17 again.

RVCA Welcomes Charolette Free
This is Radical. Another reason why I just love RVCA. They recognize talent.
From their site-
"A few months back we got a call from our friend and RVCA advocate, photographer David Mushegain. He told us he just found an amazing new face in a video game arcade in LA. “YOU GUYS I FOUND THIS GIRL. SHES SO COOL. Pink hair, rad style, 5th generation Angeleno and a huge huge Lakers fan……Her name is CHARLOTTE FREE…you gotta meet her, we have to shoot her!!!”
Mushegain shot her for Japan Vogue the next day and simultaneously began documenting her for RVCA. A few days later Charlotte was on a plane to NY where she signed with IMG models. Since then she has been causing chaos from LA to NY to Paris. In a couple months she went from playing video games at her local arcade (we didnt know there were still arcades around, but guess there are) to opening the Vivienne Westwood show during fashion week in London. Charlotte Rvles. You will be seeing a lot of her around RVCA. Check the gallery of shots Dave shot of her in Paris and links for some of her recent work and help us welcome the newest RVCA advocate Charlotte!"
This chic is fine. Jocking on her steez. So stoked she is on board with RVCA.
