Rebel 8 Spring 2011 Women
My favorite streetwear brand has done it again. I can't help but want to purchase everything that Rebel8 makes, but since I am a lady, my options are some what limited with all their new cut and sew men's gear, and dudes, that shit is hot so get on it before it sells out because it will.
I just love how hard Rebel8 goes with their graphics.
Here are the ladies tees for Spring 2011 and I want them all.
"High Society"

"Making Diamonds From Coal" - welcome to my life.
"Jareth"
I am especially jocking on this tee. You know why. And if you don't, go study culture and history and get back to me.

No heaven can heaven be, if my horse isn't there to welcome me.
This past weekend, my lovely friend Denae Farley celebrated her birthday with a special day of horseback riding and a private beach bbq on Padero Lane. Denae is a very talented lady and specializes in high end skin care and is a professional make-up artist.... and her work is AMAZING! Highly recomend booking her skillz for a special event:) if you are in the LA/ SB area.
Happy Birthday Denae!
and Thank You to Denae's beau Artie for being an amazing host and treating us to such a special day! xoxox

Mandy Candy
Say hello to Mandy Candy, my first drawing ever on a surfboard! Thank you Kilian for allowing me to hit up your CI. This has been something I have been wanting to do for a while and I am stoked she finally made it out into the water for a surf. With limited colors, I plugged away, in the "zone" if you will, for about an hour and a half and I can't wait to do the next. If you want me to hit up your surfboard and you are in SB- ask my boyfriend or email me.
This is the first photo of Many Candy in action
So fucking sexy.
Here is her first footy. She got really lucky yesterday on St. Patty's Day at The Con.

El Capitan
Trying to learn photography (technically) is almost like relearning math (for me at least). Because I work full time, my schedule is kind of booked when it comes to more classes at SBCC- but boy do I want to take a class. I have been teaching myself via the owner's manual and other sources available and I feel like I am starting to be rewarded for my little work here and there.
Went to El Capitan to watch the surf and enjoy the day and here are some photos I took while trying to teach myself photography. I hope you like.
Jesse Jo X Vans
Kind of frothing right now. I have been thinking about getting some creepers and I think I found the pair.
Malibu girl Jesse Jo is expanding her punk rock style into a line for VANS Shoes. Loving the sneak peak!!! Check out more about the collaboration at Nylon Mag.
RIP Nate Dogg:: Showing me how to rep The West Coast for Life!
Today is a sad day in the world of West Coast Rap.
Nate Dogg, you have given me countless hours of enjoyment & memories... and are a staple in my high school years at Santa Barbara High. I honestly can't imagine my rap world without your voice. I'm totally bummed.
Rest in peace Nate Dogg.
This video kind of cheered me up...

Photos by Kilian and me
Rose Colored Glasses
This could possibly be my most favorite picture taken on my Canon Rebel since receiving it for my birthday over a year ago.
This photo is entitled "Rose Colored Glasses" and was taken in my home town of Santa Barbara, Ca during the sunset two weeks ago.
I have to credit my amazing boyfriend, our love, and Santa Barbara for this picture.
It really was a joint effort with Kilian on composition and me working the technicals and doing the edit.
I love Santa Barbara so much.
The Volcom Skate House Tree Ramp
This could possibly be the very first add for The Volcom Skate House Tree Ramp.
I think it has been in the works for a while, but this photo is HARD.
Now that I think about it, I am picturing previous Volcom merch with Michael Sieben illustrations for Camp Ramp... maybe this was the inspiration? Or maybe the Camp Ramp was the inspiration? Who knows!
Question now is... when can I play? Fuck!! I need to learn how to skate vert!
There really isn't anything on the net yet, just print so far... But I did find a little blurb on Volcom's site.
So fun and exciting.

VCJ is Back...
Long before I even knew what skateboarding was, I knew this artist guy who lived next store to my grandmother on Fig Street in down town SB by the name of Court Johnson. I was about 6 years old and for about 4 years, my mother couldn't get me to come home because I was always doing art with our neighbor Court. Court has this amazing technique that just boggled my little 7 year old brain where he would make scratch marks (like MC Escher) into a black foam board then fill some with ink and white paint... His most famous and timeless piece of art that will forever be a staple in the history of skateboarding graphics called "The Ripper" is illustrated here:
You know the one? I hope so! I must say... and I say this with great passion and enthusiasm... but VCJ really was the first artist to come into my life whose work and persona has inspired me beyond words to express and create art work. So Thank you to Court.
We here at Skate One Corporation are very excited to announce that Vernon Courtlandt Johnson is back!

VCJ showing some of his art at the design review meeting with our art department
Can't wait to see what his first graphic is going to look like!
You may have already seen this, but Court also inspired this entire art show called "Rip The Ripper"... he even has Shepard Ferry paying homage to him..... RAD!
Stay tuned.
