Featured Artist Tee for Teva Shoes
I am so very proud to present to you my first printed work and collaboration!!!!
A while back, I was approached my one of my peers to collaborate on a featured artist limited edition tee shirt for Teva Shoes. Teva has been around for as long as I can remember and they are based out of Deckers Outdoor Corporation in Goleta, Ca, where I presently work out of Skate One. Deckers distributes and overseas Ugg Australia, Simple Shoes, Teva, and a couple of other outdoor based shoe brands. Teva has recently been getting a facelift thanks to my buddies Erin and Darren, whose youthful creative energy is being plugged into their outdoor & water performance products. I am stoked to work with such a well established brand that is not based on fashion alone, but the outdoors and psychical performance... as these are the principles I tend to value the most as I myself am an active individual. I am extremely grateful to Erin and the Teva brand for giving me the chance to work with them as this was my first arstic assignment with clear direction and a product to show for my efforts. Again, a special thanks to Erin Tsukashima whom is the graphic artist and brains behind this collaboration, it was a pleasure taking creative direction from you! The above painting is the orginal piece that was used for the silk screen on my tee which is currently hanging up at Deckers. As the brand is based around water, well... you can see where I went from there. I have a box of the tees if you are interested in one... Please just email me a request. They are not for sale, as this item is a special promotion product for events and their team of athletes. Hit me up if you want one xoxo

Inspired by Joshy D:: Rebel 8
I first learned about Mike Giant and Rebel 8 from reading Juxtapoz Magazine. I saw Giant's cover and at that moment my life changed a little. I was overwhelming inspired by his Hispanic themed graphics and use of symbolism that I immediately started researching his work.. thus I discovered Rebel 8. After attending Magic Trade show in Las Vegas, it was fate that brought me together with these guys. I spotted them in the cafeteria eating by themselves and I immediately ran over and asked if I could sit with them. I was so happy that day because Joshy gave me a Mike Giant Sharpie and a small book of illustrations and quotes that Mike had done. It is still one of my prized possessions that I keep close. I can't explain the way I feel about Mike's art or Joshy's enthusiasm for Rebel 8, all I know is that it makes me feel incredibly happy and inspired. This video makes me feel that way too and makes me have hope for my own dreams. I am hoping to get my first and only tattoo from Mike this fall. Get at the brand, they are coming up.

ADAM MARS
I am extremely delighted to present to you my first project as a model/ muse. My dear friend Adam Mars from Laguna Beach, CA painted this amazing representation of my profile. Mars has obtained his Masters in Fine Arts from Otis College of Art and Design and displayed his work in numerous shows across the State of California. His style is pristine, refined, tastefully futuristic and nothing like anything you have ever seen. Adam is destine for greatness and has already achieved souring heights for being so young when it comes to the art world and his masterpieces. In a world where your eyes are trained to watch plasma TV's, 3-D movies, and crystal clear images, Adam's Art is on another level and is quite pleasing to the eye... and it is all hand done. I hope you enjoy the photos, but they are nothing like the real thing. XOX
Title: Meija
Medium: acrylic on canvas panel
Size: 12.5" x 10.5"
Date: 2010
I love the way the piece came out! My skin looks elegant, and as Adam would describe, I am pale as a vampire! Which, if you know me, you know that I don't mind that at all..... quite flattering if you ask me. And my lips are my favorite part of the whole thing.
